Art in residence

View of Lake Victoria from our Guest House

Artists and other creative professionals can stay and work temporarily in Seyna Art Gallery premises by participating in artist-in-residence programs and other residency opportunities.

It is coming close to two years since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. The disease has hopelessly devastated life and communities the world over. More than ever, the creative industry shares the responsibility to keep hope alive and to act as a vehicle for resilience. Through our Artist residence program, Seyna Art Gallery (SAG) aims to enhance that shared creative responsibility; to keeping hope alive through Art or Design. The small but significant part we play, is to empower artists by supporting their creative endeavor, and to give them a platform to demonstrate this; be it through Fashion Design, Visual Art, Community empowerment art, Photography, Affirmative art, etc.

The program will start on Monday 6th September 2021 to Friday 1st October 2021.
The Artists will put up a duo exhibition in the Seyna Art Gallery which will start on Friday 8th October 2021 and run for four weeks.

The artist residence program is supported by Art For Change
